Dimitris Kakalidis was born in 1943 in Athens where he grew up, was married and had two children. In 1980 he formed a group of people with philosophical pursuits who, under his guidance, founded the Spiritual Centre. The objectives of the Society are the emergence of mankind’s ontological nature, the dissemination of spirituality and the selfless service towards all people.
The Master Dimitris Kakalidis has taught the expression of global concern towards everything and everybody; prompt response to need through selfless offering, complete acceptance of all aspects within man and of all currents of life, while acknowledging the one and common essence of them all, so that the spiritual nature of all people may be dynamically expressed. The Master himself was a living example to imitate. Acting through true intellect, love and mind, he was simply putting his teaching into practice in everyday life.
His books have been warmly welcomed by men and women of the country’s intellectual world; he was honored by them during in 1993. When referring to D. Kakalidis, critics of his writing work do not confine themselves to recognizing his talent and his knowledge. They call him a mystic and a teacher who educates people and guides them through their spiritual journey by establishing a new philosophical school. This message is conveyed throughout all his poetry as well as his analyses of narratives and poems written by Greek writers, in his two books and .
Both his teaching and his writing work have constituted a source of creation and inspiration indelibly impressed on all books of Megas Seirios Publications. The Master acknowledged each person’s potential to express his real nature, to turn weakness into power, fear into fearlessness. By his constant encouragement and support members of the Society have written about their personal experiences of their contact with him, the spiritual principles they were given by the Master and the changes that occurred in their life through the practical application of these principles. To others who have been close to him, Dimitris Kakalidis’ poetry - being a hymn to Spirit full of a shaking pulse - has been the spark to express themselves as well through poetic word.
Dimitris Kakalidis passed away in 1995. Until the very last moment of his life he kept on occupying himself with his work and guiding his disciples. After his death, the disciples who had been close to him and had been inspired by his life and his teachings committed themselves to continue his work; they still unselfishly work towards the aims and objectives of the Servers’ Society, carrying the torch of the teaching that the Master gave to those seeking the union with their inner Self.
